"I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!" - Alice, Alice In Wonderland.
Mud and threads.

Surrounded by shrubbery, she felt confused.
With every few steps she took, she would stumble and fall.
Sometimes into a shallow pit, sometimes into earth.
Sometimes it would be through holes that transported her to another dimension.
She never realized why she tripped,
Because she never did look back.
Clean yet clouded, the state that she was in.
And because of these accidents, she found herself sunken deep.
Into a web of doubt and dreams, she couldn't find her way.
One day she found herself stuck in a mud pool,
With lots of effort she pulled and tugged,
Finally half out of the dirt and dust.
But when she looked down at the pool,
The level was rising again.
She looked around for help,
Nobody was in sight.
Then she heard a voice somewhere,
Coming from within the trees.
"Look down dear girl, you silly goose",
The baritone voice said.
Then she did, and what a surprise,
Around her ankles were threads.
Her poor feet were red and worn out,
And blood was trickling from fresh wounds.
But when she reached out and tried to touch them,
The threads would get out of her sight.
Shocked, she turned to the trees,
Asking for the stranger's wise words
But the soul never did reply,
And lost, she started to cry.
And when she calmed down,
She pondered in the mud pool.
Minutes, hours, days and weeks,
She sat there just thinking.
And suddenly, on a rainy day,
She reached an epiphany.
At that point, the mud was gone, dried and caked on her skin.
And surprisingly, the threads too, were missing,
Yet she didn't untangle them.
Though dirty, she was clean.
And that day, she walked free.

Sometimes, we'll never really notice the threads that were holding us back.
And when we understand why they were there, the solution's so easy and clear, but somehow we can't get ourselves out of this mess
I guess at times, we just have to lose something, to realize its worth to us.
Things aren't always what they seem.
Sometimes, we just have to give our all.
Untangling threads- it just may be easier than harder than it appears, all these depends on our mindsets.
Say, have you reached an epiphany?
